Gettings started with Smartling integration
Adding the Smartling integration to your Uniform project allows you to simplify.
Before you start
You must have the following to complete this setup:
- Smartling account with administrator access.
Prerequisites
You must have access to a Uniform team with the ability to create new projects. If you are an active customer or a partner, please get in touch with your Uniform team administrator colleague and ask for an invite.
If you are not sure or your company does not have a Uniform team, you can request a sandbox here.
Get connection settings#
To configure a Smartling connection, you will need to create an Account API Token :
- Log into the Smartling.
- Navigate to Account settings > Integration Management > API.
- Click Create Token in Account Tokens.
- Provide a name.
- Save User Identifier and Token Secret.
Add integration#
In Uniform, open your project.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
Scroll to the section Browse integrations.
Click Smartling.

Once the integration is added you'll be prompted to enter some settings.Enter the required fields:
Field Comments Account UID Smartling Account UID that you can find under account settings User Id API v2.0 Tokens. User ID from Account Tokens User Secret API v2.0 Tokens. User Secret from Account Tokens Webhook URL URL with public domain that will receive Completed Job notifications from Smartling and import translations into Uniform. You can find example here. Smartling Project After you fill credentials and click Test credentials button, you will see the list of available projects in the list. When you fill in secrets, click Test credentials to verify credentials and load list of available projects.
